Porkies are out. For me it is deer and SKUNKS !!! The big prob is keeping Dad's Jack Russell away !!
He gets REALLY ticked off when it happens.

Well, cold again today, 8° F, same as yesterday. Caught 2 today. Here's a picture of one of them. There is an island of trees that sits out to a point between 2 crop fields. I've caught coyotes here before. Doesn't seem to matter what side of the trees they run along they always check out this raised point. This was a double step down dirt hole. MB 650. Originally tis was between 2 corn stalk stubbles. Picture of the remake also, only thing I could do was pile up some torn up stalks and ground litter.
I don't know if anyone else does this, and all you lure makers I don't want to hear it. One hole gets a coyote butt hole with about 2" of rectum attached, the other gets bait of choice. This time deer liver. The butt hole thing seems to work pretty well.



Remade with the antifreeze below and above the trap. Dusted with sand/dirt to blend.

Both catches today have been in the ground for 9 days.

As said above salt works fine. Caught a ton of coyotes using it as a antifreeze. This is the first season I haven’t ran salt since around 1994.
