I posted about my mother passing a few days ago. I had to take my wife to the ER for a kidney stone this week. We sat in there for 9 hours waiting for a room. They were going to get her a room soon so I went home. When I got up the next morning my furnace quit overnight. Glad I have a wood burner! Daughter and grandson would have been pretty cold. Went to the hospital after getting in touch with the furnace guy to find my wife in the same room and bed that my mother passed away in a week earlier. I spend the day with her and went home and returned the next day. As Im walking to the elevator someone calls my name...its my sister. She was being admitted for covid! When I got home that night my daughter and I sat down to look at her wedding pics from 9 years ago. We noticed that my mother was wearing the same clothes at the wedding that she was laid to rest in. what a week. today I get up to go to work thinking it will be a break from all the drama in my life...my truck wouldnt start! LOL Wife STILL hasnt been released from the hospital. I sure am looking forward to CHRISTmas!! Thanks for letting me vent! Ken
Well many thanks to all of you that have kept me and my family in your prayers. Wife got to come home today and is feeling much better. We still need to do a follow up procedure. My sister is already home recovering. The covid really made it difficult to breathe for her but she is coming along and her fever is gone. Furnace is fixed. Went to work on the truck and it started right up with no problems! Fixed itself I guess. My stress level has gone waaay down. Power in prayer! Again, I thank all of you.

I know it doesn't help now,but it will get better.I've lived a pretty low key life, dealing with the normal bumps in the road of life that everybody experiences but that's life.About 9 years ago my dad was diagnosed with throat cancer and that was the start of it.He passed away, mom had a stroke, then diagnosed with dementia, then came the dealing with family members, then the new admin at work was looking at ways to save money and decided a few of us were nonessential and "encouraged" us to voluntarily leave. Then health problems crept up What I just gave you was a thumbnail sketch of the events of that time, there was lots more.I came home from work one day and sat in my truck and realized I was coming apart .I had 300+ hrs. of sick leave and took it to help take care of mom.To make a long story short it took some time, but you'll work thru it.You have to know your limits, everybody has one. That was my undoing. If it means going to seek help,do it.Take hold of your own physical and mental health.

Goldnut, you keep posting. You have brothers and sisters here. I'm sure we can take turns talking to ya all day and night if needed. I was in your shoes a couple of times in my life. I indulged in work and fished, when i got tired enough, i slept. Slowly things improved. I had a good friend who helped me through a rough patch.

Thanks for the update. Prayers continue. I would think since the truck started after a day of sitting the distributor cap is getting moisture in it. Kinda thought the same thing Adam. It was a pretty damp day out the day it wouldnt start. Think maybe condensation.

Hope you are the down hill slide for awhile to give you a break. If the truck does that again WD-40 on the plug wires as well as he distributor cap works wonders. It is made to disperse water. That is how it got it's name.
