Well. The weathermen finally got a forecast right in Oklahoma when they called for rain. We'll likely get rained out by tomorrow but we're making the best of it. I need to get back to work anyway and his wrestling coach keeps calling about him missing practice.

Three more coyotes this morning and a big male coon.

Thanks for looking. It's been fun posting these updates.

He's killing it great job. Tell his wrestling coach not to call about him missing practice he's just fine.

Agree on the wrestling coach. He's wrestled since he was five, he's good on weight and he's having a blast. He'll be fine and back on Monday!

Good for him. Wrestling really cut into my hunting and trapping at his age.

We remade everything and put out a few more sets at his urging. I'm watching the radar but he's optimistic the heavy storms will miss us.

Report will come tomorrow.

Seed doesn't grow in the bag and traps don't catch fur in the shed. Looks like your both having a good time.

My dad took me along with him was I was really young. You are giving your son memories he will have forever. Trapping with dad will be among the very best. Good job!

Thanks all. We got 1.75 inches of hard rain last night with some thunderstorms, so we are shut down. As we drove the line this morning he started asking about waxed dirt--I guess he's been doing some of his own research.

We'll be making waxed dirt now. Dad only had five gallons and we didn't use it!

If the freeze thaw / thaw freeze cycle you are no doubt fixin to go thru doesn't weed the boy out he might be incurable! whistle

Not that I am taking any issue what so ever with your fathering abilities but IMO this is the perfect time of year to plant some exposed sets up out of the mud and muck. If you use the old DLS they will fire even if the frame and the bottom half of each spring is frozen down. I doubt catching a few more cats would ruin that young mans views of trapping LOL.

No matter what you do, know that each and every one of us realize how proud you must be of him. Kudos from Texas
