Just curious how they attached the tag to your otter in the round? The Taxi skinned them His way, put a paper wired tag with sex and form measurements on it. I had my individual otter tags through the eye n mouth with a zip tie. I then took them in on registration day had the White tag added...drove back past the Taxidermist place gave him the otters...got paid.$120.00 went home. Years ago if you wanted one mounted they would allow a hole kept open for the tag , usually with a fat zip tie. Not anymore.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Yeah, in the past I have had them wrap the tag around the frozen carcass didn't know if they'd continue to do that before I found a buyer. I'll find out tomorrow when I go tag my otter might be cutting a hole in the webbing of the foot.

Simply cut/skin from upper lip to the eye and put zip tie in opening, fasten it the apply tag to tail of tie.
Wish I had more time to trap....

That is how I tag with my field tag. We have to turn in skull when registration is done.
Wish I had more time to trap....

In Virginia they made a slice in my Bobcats ear over my objections to put the tag in.
