What lure/bait do find handy for picking them up? I run dirt hole and flat sets.

Urine post is my other set. Bladder urine from another area would be best. Good luck

Sorry you took offense...I had never heard of a coyote that can’t be caught as a straggler, lol.

Probably more annoying than offensive

The guy asked a simple question nothing offensive that I see. Pass on this one.

Those are called seed. You can't get them all. You get a smart one or a lucky one once in a while, just move on to easier targets. If you have to kill them try something different like beaver lure with lots of castor. No animals can pass up that smell without sniffing around a little.

If your flat sets aren't connecting around a big dirt hole, try a buried bait set located further on down the travel path with flat sets 10 -20 yards out from the new set. Anything will due as bait, muskrat, beaver, another yote.

I was running regular dirt holes. Came back after the snow and saw a couple left behind. Made them step downs. No more stragglers. I'm sure there's a few left and they made it. I don't lose any sleep trying to kill them all.

I don't see it touched on too often but if you really want to throw a coyote off kilter throw a little fox gland at them. I've done that in the past when there's burn circles around every corner.

I'm trying to reduce the coyote and raccoon numbers on my farm for game management purposes. The castor at a DH set and urine post sound good.

>>> I run step downs currently. I don't loose sleep either. I do want to get as many as I can for deer hunting purposes.
