Your a welder. I am not. But couldn't you add a little weld to the front sight. File it into a proper shape. Get the sight adjusted like you want it?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

6 Oclock aim is used to target shooting sometimes called a Pumpkin on a post

imaging a nice round pumpkin sitting one a wood fence post

for groups it makes no difference where the bullets impact in bench rest you aim at one spot and bullets impact another so you don't chew up your aiming point

I was really really thinking if it but for some reason I really don't wanna modify this gun in any real way lol

I think when you can finally find them again CCI standard Velocity will be the ticket to 10 under a dime.

I wouldn't weld on the front sight I would just replace it you can keep the old one in-case you ever want to put it back on,

maybe this https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/874/1/FS-CA-1B?PageSize=100

or a Lyman Globe https://www.midwayusa.com/s?userSearchQuery=lyman%20globe&searchTerm=lyman%20globe these are nice you can change inserts when you go from targets to game

as to the sight setting and hold I imagine a 6 oclock hold on this target would be nearly perfect

[Linked Image]

it also may have been used for silhouettes where the closest target is 40 meters

My Dad had a Springfield semi auto that had the globe sight on it. There were different apertures for the front sight.
