Make a good flashy coyote set and If there are badgers around they will be In It. The trouble with setting badger digs Is that In most cases the badger Is long gone. But they make great coyote and fox sets. X2 but if you set where their food is (ground squirrels & prairie dogs in the places I have trapped) they will be back through or another one will take its place in you set

They do like mice- I have set many lines of round bales or edges of hay storage barns and thumped them. Mice nests (even with babies) can be frozen during the summer and used during the season. IMO they are golden. Just Mice is one of the few baits I use and it is perfect for hay storage places where any predator is hunting mice

I bought a little rat live trap awhile back, been (or was, anyway) catching quite a few mice. Back to the badger set, I think dirt hole would be the way to go wherever you have a lot of badger sign.

This time of the year setting on the mounds works the best and you might snag a yote for the effort. The mounds are the first to thaw they come with loose dirt so blending is a dream. With the loose dirt it’s a good time to use them long springs.

Believe it or not set snares on every trail leading to or from prairie dog towns for coyotes 8' - 10' snares staked down in the sagebrush will catch a bunch of them I swear they jump up into the snare loop to get caught ha ha
Woven wire fence crawl unders in or near a prairie dog towns set every hole with a snare tie it off high on the fence these are my favorite sets that worked the best for badgers . I hope these work as well for you as they have for me ! Allan

If it’s really fresh dig out, set a snare on the entrance to the den.
