Went to set up this new permission spot. Forgot my stupid Bemac gauntlets, but I still got two feed sets in, more later with all my gear. More to come...

When I first came across the word "popple" for a tree, I had to ask someone who had spent time in the northern CONUS forests what people were referring to as in common species. So what besides your species of aspen do northern Minnesotans place into the "popple" tree group...?

Usually I use suspended 330' Swinging free or on a pole? I usually run a pole through the eyes and wire them off. The beaver on this pond are trap shy, same as last year.

Any tree in the Populus genus. Cottonwood, Quacking aspen, Big toothed aspen and Balm of Gilead(Stink poplar, very bitter, not preferred by beaver) are four common native Poplars in MN. Silver(white) poplar are import from Europe/asia mostly ornamental.
I've learned enough thru the years to now know that I don't know enough. KNOWLEDGE IS FREEDOM.
