Very nice work. Too nice to be cutting on!

what do you treat the surface with? I like this stuff. It lasts a long time and is pretty durable. I use it for all wood that will be touching food.

They look great. I can't read the fine print on that watco can, but I'm guessing it's just some fancy mineral oil?? Not really, It's kind of odd. It goes on like a mineral oil almost but it will actually dry and harden somewhat. I use it all the time and really like it. It is pricey though. Unlike mineral oil, it doesn't get absorbed as much into the wood where it can mess with glue joints over time. I get this stuff at lowes but it can probably be found cheaper.

Nice looking boards. There is not such thing as scrap, just a lack of imagination

My best buddy is a accomplished wood worker like yourself. He has made some nice cutting boards. But what amazes me is the teak you slavaged. He too has a eye for unique wood sources. I have helped him dismantle some old house wood work, just for the project wood. His latest wood salvage operation was a couple water damaged pianos...Yeah I got roped into that. He also gets some exotic stuff from overseas shipping crates and pallets. He gets off trying to figure out a wood specie. Nice work by the way!
