Had to dig out a badger today. I set last night and had it today, I almost drove by the set not the usual crater it just took the cable down the hole. A little tug on the cable and they set their feet you can feel it, the cable is tight. Instead of going down at a angle like most do he went straight under the dirt horizontally so it was tough to see it. Took about a hour of digging to lay eyes on it then another 20 minutes to open it up to get him out, what a greasy muddy mess everything covered in wet clay. Smaller hole I was surprised it was a larger badger, hip caught so it back filled the hole when it was digging underground. About wore this old man out! You never stop seeing something new almost every day. Great Catch It’s part of my let’s try it and see what happens approach. LOL Seriously I make new sets every trip out, I checked what I set yesterday today so I can put up badgers tomorrow. I have a 2 day check East River and 3 day check West River so not much time off involved.

Why didnt you just slap a 330 in front of the hole or set a foothold.He would have come out the hole after a while no?Sounds like a lot of work.

A badger can slip out of 220 pretty fast, 330s are illegal above water in most states here.
