I have no intentions of traveling to SD to shoot a wolf, coyotes was what i would go there for. Just saying good for you having a fish and game dept with the stones to allow it.
Help yourself.

We had a film one of our members took in the Rice, MN area a couple years ago.
I trapped beaver in the MilleLacs Wildlife Management area about 10 years ago. Because they only allowed foot travel inside the area, I asked if it was OK to skin the beaver where I caught them and leave the carcass. They said that was fine. There was two wolf packs roaming there and they would clean them up.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

If you don’t have wolves you don’t have a wolf or anti BS to put up with. We do the work to reintroduce the wolves then the slacker antis get involved and screw the hole thing up, no thanks.

I also believe in ND you would be a much better chance. Breed populations are on three sides of ND. We have a few caught in coyote traps and snares every year. But when you consider the size of the state and the number of confirmed sightings it is real low odds. They shot a wolverine here a few years ago. But I wouldn't go hunt them in ND. It seems like I read they shot a camel here once too.
