Is that a good deer round or is a 6.5 creedmore a better round?I see some states don't allow a necked shell.

Imo, there is really no need for any rifle cartridge other than the following: 22 CB cap, and LR Something in the 17/204 class 243/6mm class 300 WM 375 H&H You can efficiently hunt any land animal on the planet with those rifles.

350 legend had a purpose that purpose is to fit in an ar15 mag and be legal in a strait wall cartridge state that limits cartrige lenght to 1.8 inches
the hole point of strait wall is to limit effective range
6.5 creedmore is a target round for hitting 1200-1400 yard targets that happens to do decently at deer size game at ranges under 300 yards
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

there are many very effective deer and bear cartridges out there that have been around 50-100+ years
the new whiz-bang "super cartridges" are good at filling some niche like a short action target round to punch paper at 1200 yards
if your hunting under 250 yards deer, moose , bear , elk a 308 will take them
what is your goal for a cartridge?

Should have given more information.Toying with getting the wife another deer rifle. She is now shooting a browning bar semi auto in 30-06.Little recoil but we might need to consider a bolt action for her with little recoil.

I'm guessing that in Maine you aren't planning on 400 yard shots. I'd look at the 243. Thanks but will be Kansas and states around there.

My wife shoots a 30-06 with a brake. Yep, its loud, but she likes the recoil reduction. Good idea but probably would bother her noise wise.

Worst thing I've heard about the 350 Legend is bullet diameter. If you are a reloader, I would avoid it. If not and it tickles your wife, buy two!
