SJA may have put me on the right track. I didn't think to look at thistles
I think it's a sow thistle. Looks close
Not a dandelion Bruce, leaves are heavily sculpted and the leaves and flower are on the same stem.

Just looked up sow thistle. Interesting

Sonchus is a genus of flowering plants in the dandelion tribe within the sunflower family Asteraceae and are commonly known as sow thistles. Sowthistles are annual, biennial or perennial herbs, with or without rhizomes and a few are even woody. Wikipedia
