Mark Second video. 5 minutes in and ive learned something. Should be a good couple hours. Kind of like every trap line I run. 5 minutes in and I'm learning something Mark, from your earlier videos, are there any major changes in your trapping practices or philosophy. I believe one is that you did change to the MB550 trap.

Grandpa,
In answer to your Q about whether there are changes in my methods versus my first DVDs: Sure. I learn more every year. I call it "tightening up." I just ratchet down, a notch at a time, ways to harvest quicker. I suspect we all do this. Or should be.
It helps because we trap a lot. Seminary has curbed this a great deal of course, but we were trapping October - July for quite a few years and the different seasons call for very different methods, and it taught me much. Using different methods = you have to trap more than a few weeks. A person who has traps in the ground 200 days has 10X the experience as the trapper who traps 20 days.
Plus, the scientist in me likes to try new ways. And at this point in the game, it's small things that really tighten down in productive ways.
I've been asked about making another DVD and at this point I have a few solid ideas floating in my noggin but it'll have to wait a couple years to attempt it as it'd take me trapping 6-8 states to show it.
Blessings, Mark
