Eldest child(a vice principal) was given her first vaccine yesterday by the MN. National Guard.She said all went well and has had no problems.
Our governor has not done a very good job in getting the vaccine out to the rest of us--but that shouldn't be a surprise,considering his track record.
My wife and I are waiting for it to be available to us--we are in the age group that is supposed to be next in line after nursing home residents,teachers and front line workers.
I will keep those interested in the results and how things are going,posted. That is--if we are ever able to get the vaccine.
As a side note,I talked to my cousin in Florida last night--vaccine is available there for all residents and is being given out in many of the grocery stores.

Still waiting on word when I will get mine, Tom. Got an email saying I was in the age group but nothing since. I think our Governor is on the same level as yours. I can hardly wait to get this over with.

The wife and I got ours Wed. Next one Is Feb 19th. No problems

Wife and I got ours, and go in for second shots on Feb 8.

No problems from the first shot.

Got my first shot and waiting on getting the 2nd in a couple weeks.

Wife and I got the first Moderna shot on Wed. at our local independent drugstore. No issues.

Looks like I need to go 3 miles and cross into Wisconsin--looks like things are progressing better than here.

Good luck with that 2nd shot. Every coworker that got the shot just got their 2nd and every one of them missed work. All but one had already had covid and those all said the effects from the 2nd shot were far worse than the covid was.

Will do, Tom. Wife and I are signed up through Mayo. I am 4 years older than her but her MS might help bump her up a little. Hope so.

Yes, my point exactly. In fact I think I just said that?

We haven’t got ours yet but my brother and his wife did . They got their first one 3 weeks ago and finished up on Wednesday. I called him yesterday and he said he was laid up on the couch sick said it was the flu on Steroids, but today he is fine and went back to work . His wife got sick after the first one but he didn’t, they told them if you have had it the first shot you will have side affects but if you haven’t had it you will get side effects on the second one .His wife had it back in June and I know of one other couple that had the same experience one had had the virus and one hasn’t.

What kind of documentation are you folks getting that shows you got vaccinated?

You get a card and It's labeled "Covid-19 Vaccination Record Card." It has the date of the shot and what type And your birth date.

You all can have our doses, we won’t be getting them unless they strap us to a gurney to give it to us. I’m not gonna be one of the people on the commercial in ten or twenty years that says “Did you or a loved one get the covid-19 vaccine in 2021? If so, you may be entitled to compensation”

DelawareRob, if you really trust big pharma enough to get the vaccine, you go right ahead. I’ll take my chances with the virus. Heck I probably already had it, my son did and we were quarantined together. He never showed a single symptom. The only reason he got tested was he was exposed and they wouldn’t let him back to school without a test. Even got him tested twice to be sure it wasn’t a false positive because he felt 100% normal. Why would I let the government inject a brand new drug into my healthy children to protect them from something that didn’t even cause them to be sick?
