Ok Nessy- house mice here are smaller and all dark grey - no white below. Deer mice here are like yours, white below, but grey on top. Then there are all the voles here ...lots of folks here call them all mice....even shrews. Thank you for the eastern education ! Well as P Skinny showed everyone here years ago- he was the mini trap mouse catcher - even using tiny longsprings !

Take a foil pie plate and fill with half an inch or so of thick syrup. You’ll get him. If not then try a tree stand and 12 gauge.

What kind of ceiling? If it is drop in tiles, are the droppings falling through a gap onto the desk and not actually getting dumped there? Maybe the mice are upstairs? This. Is he taking the bait or ignoring the traps? I'm going to assume you tried so many baits because they weren't getting touched, which tells me there's no mouse on the desk/floor. In that case, either 1) the mice are in the ceiling like he said, or 2) An office prankster is sprinkling mouse turds on your wife's desk.
Boco couldn't catch a cold. But if he did, it would be Top Lot.

I had a similar problem. I glued a piece of dry cat/dog food to the pan. Works caught him that nite. I do the same with a piece of shell corn, super glue They lick past the Pbutter ...vibrations from chewing gets the smaller ones.
