Less demand for fuel this past year and prices were low. Demand is changing and so prices will go up. I doubt Uncle Joe has much of any effect on current fuel prices. I believe the pipeline was to go to refineries on the coast so refined fuel could be shipped abroad. I think I read that US produces more oil than Saudi. Maybe someone can find some fact that backs that up or disproves it. I'm too lazy. Yes we produce more oil than Saudi right now. But the problem with our wells is they don’t last long few years at most. We have to drill more and more wells to get oil. In Saudi (I worked over there for a few years) I have worked over wells that was drilled in the 70’s. When we would drill a well there it coast 1/3rd what a well coast in USA. No fracking no gravel pack. Produce out of 7 inch csg. And the well will flow for 20 or more years.

Business news said GM will not be making gas engines after 2035 times are changing. On cars and suv’s, I never saw any mention of trucks. But you’re right, times are changing, they always have always will. Some folks don’t want to open their eyes to that. As for keystone, I read a great article published by Oil Sands Magazine about why the cancellation doesn’t really matter here in Canada. I’ll put politics aside and choose to listen to the publication promoting Canada’s oil sands and giving insight to global markets as opposed to individual people. I’m not saying it doesn’t affect the US, in fact the article from January 23 says it affects the US far more than us.

Business news said GM will not be making gas engines after 2035 times are changing. That's nice of GM to go all green, but I'm betting it won't happen. And if they do and it flops, GM has already been declared to big to fail, so all good.

Otherwise, isn't the stuff going to stay stuck in the ground, you pop isn't largest enough to be the main market for it, is it...? Especially, if your gov is going to take you "green" faster than us down here...

Nonpc, google the article “Oilsands Magazine” click news, read the article from Jan 23. It’ll explain it better than me typing here. In a nutshell, wouldn’t change amount of oil moving at all, as it would no longer flow through other lines. We’re currently moving 4 million bbl per day to you and keystone wouldn’t change that, according to experts in our oil sands anyways. Like I said, I’m going to trust them more than the dude in the coffee shop that reads Facebook.

Or know anybody that lost their job? I don't know anyone personally but you asked if anyone was affected. We all are, the entire country. Thanks again for those on here that voted Biden. We needed a little despair and hopelessness. Bident didn't do this. It is 100% on Canada. Read the contracts. CANADA AGREED that ANY incoming President could cancel the XL the day they enter office without any repercussions. This was no accident. Pipelines keep you elected even if you don't want/intend to ever complete them. This was always a stipulation that Canada signed off on. Ask yourself why. That is the wording of the contract. There were no guarantees, ever, and no avenue for recourse. It's over until the US pivots, or a new President comes to power. This was always coming. Same here gas up 39 cents this morning after ding bat signed 6 more EO . I don't know what was in them and i'm sure he didn't either. He spent a week signing his name. I heard next week they're going to start him on shapes and colors. They should show "it" a corn maze.

Democratics want this project ended now and for ever for saving the environment. Yet they don't care about the jets they fly around he world and each day for their travel and luxury life. Those jets have huge emission pollution problem then a pipeline. They talk out both sides f their mouth.

I know that I personally would love to learn how we can determine whether or not the US can cancel a project on their soil.
Please show me and the Americans how we can do that. A CEPI link doesn’t unfortunately. I agree. It was an American who nixed the deal with a stroke of a pen. I found out last night that a very good friend was laid off as a result. Good guy well paying job 5 1/2 years from retirement. Got a feeling he won’t be trying to make any solar panels. Osky

Less demand this last year cause everyone was locked inside their homes. More Democrat brilliance.

My son and a big number his buddies from HS rodeo have all been working as pipeline welders or as their apprentices and they are all being laid off. A lot of them including my boy are taking jobs at factories like semi trailer manufactures which incidentally pay around half of what the good pipeline gigs pay.

I believe his name was Biden. If Biden didn't cancel it, it would still be going forward.

My son Kenny has been working in N.D. for I guess 7-8 years fracking and I guess there is problems around there. Biggest problem has always been gett'n folks to work. and if they did get hired they didn't want to work.

Osky Heard on Hannity the other day, one democratic legislator say, these pipeline workers need to find another occupation like truck driving, or other types of construction. I was thinking maybe the pipeline worker should go into brain surgery and operate on some of these idiot legislators.
