You need to use imagination a bit because I haven't built the bracket yet, but I found a rock solid way to make a demountable beam...angle iron and square tube.
It doesn't even wobble and I haven't drilled the tube for pins yet.
I think I finally got it.

Also built a "clip" to hold beaver pelts in place

1 1/ 2" tube for the wall socket. 1 1/4" on beam bottom. slips in and out easily. bottom socket for me, top socket for my 6'2" son.

Looks like it should work!!

My fleshing board setup is different from most. I sit on a chair to flesh. Instead of pushing, I pull instead of push which gives me more control. My beam is mounted at an angle away from me. Basically I pull down and towards me with the bottom of the beam being closer to me. The beam and base are one piece, and portable. I merely place the base against a solid wall to keep it from being pushed away from me as I flesh.
When I began trapping over 50 years ago I knew no trappers. My Dad built my first setup for me and I still use use this setup today.
After all these years I doubt I could flesh pushing away from me.

I also flesh vertical, but I stand. I copied the blue english system out of wood and it works well for me. I am 6'4" tall and have a hard time with the standard method. Once I got the system figured out, it has worked very well for me for coon but now that I am getting more beaver I wanted to adapt it for a pvc beam.

Just happy to be here.
