I figured I might not get another chance. Haven't seen the pond frozen like this in over 20 years. That cracking ice noise when I chopped the holes is a pretty nerve racking thing.

4 inches is plenty thick to walk on, just need to be carefully of warm spots or areas with moving water.

Yeah, I tied myself to the farm side by side. It wasn't that bad. Brother caught 2 and I got the one. Had a couple come off at the surface. Out there maybe an hour.

foolishness , not to cold for beer till it freezes in the cooler , obviously no ice in the cooler it is to keep the beer warm enough to drink.

Ice fishin takes too long for my boys to chop a hole big enough for my boat.
