120 may sound good but a new rifle that costs 500 here will likely run you a 1000 in AU anything gun or trap related seems to be double the price or more
there is a reason you see AU guys on gun forums talking about barreling guns they have rifles that have been in their families for a long time in old cartridges it seems it is less expensive to have a gun barreled than a new rifle imported and purchased
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

With the .17 hmr. you can certainly kill a Dingo at 100 yards. And carrying ammo is easy being its light.
Bait them and kill'em on the pile. More bait to add. Start in am, finish later afternoon. Load up the bodies and deliver.
Come back the next day, repeat. Just watch for snakes. Some of the largest and most deadly in the world.
Sure wish that my wife and I would have taken the deal to go live in Australia in 1970.
I wonder if you did go, if you can bring your own gun and traps from home? Maybe a load of 10 doz.MB550. And 2-3000 rounds of ammo?

Screw dingos I'm glad some parts of Down Under have declared war on feral cats. If only we could openly deal with free roaming cats that way here. wait, you mean you don't?

Better check on a lot of things before get on a plane or ship to head there to get rich. Traps have to be a padded jaw is my understanding. Guns have their own rules as well. Feral hogs to contend with as well as other vermin we haven't heard of let alone know how to contend with.
Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination.

I've hunted quite a bit in Australia over the years. I've met up with several professional dingo hunters operating on both private "stations" (ranches) and those that operate on public land in the State Forests . They call these guys "doggers," in NSW and Victoria where I bumped into them. They do some shooting and they do some poison work. Very little use of traps for the guys I spoke with. They do a lot of snaring with some crappy gear! (See photo) I was able to send one guy some better coyote snares from here in AK. He said he had a lot better luck than he did with the typical Aussie crap! Here is a picture of a typical government dingo snare... Pete
