Did Lyman discontinue these are is it just more China virus BS?

Nobody seems to have one.

I’m talking the original 1:60 twist guns, not this new signature series fast twist thing Pedersoli is making for them.

Lyman lost control of their quality control.

So they're being made for them by Pedersoli now.

You can only get a roundball twist in the .54 now.

The quality is back up, but so is the price.

Look for the good old used ones, if you want a .50 with the slow twist.

I have an early one .50 1:60. I also have a Knight Disc Extreme, taken a lot of deer with it. I have taken just as many with the Lyman and enjoy shooting it a lot more than the Knight. It's just more fun. 100 grains by volume of Goex 3f, a .495 ball with a .020 thick Ox-yoke patch, a little TC bore butter, spark it with an RWS cap and my gun is more than ready to go. The only mods I made to it is a rear peep and I narrowed up the front blade and added a .060 dia brass bead that I made up. When my eyes used to work good, years ago, I could easily smack a coffee mug at 75-100 yards. A shear joy to shoot for an afternoon.
