I love watching Raptors.
Lots of Coopers Hawks the past few years. There used to be lots of Red Tail Hawks. Always enjoy watching Falcons and Eagles. So far at my new house I've seen a coopers about a dz times now. I've only seen 3 bald eagles in the wild.

One day I was taking a break in between checking sets just enjoying the weather and views. I look up and there's a coopers hawk flying with a golden eagle. I watched them for about 10 minutes before they flew too far. They were just hanging out riding the wave together and seemed to be enjoying each other's company.

I drove from Fargo to Bismarck today, lots of raptors to view but most were dead on the road. I thought that was odd..

Looks like the peregrine kill shots were in Idaho where a friend of mine hunts sage grouse with his gyr.

snow load gone?
most times the mice are flood out of the ditches and the grass zone they run in, and the poles are on the other side of the road = road killed raptors

High humidity at night and they spread their wings to dry in the morning sun = Zappa on the power lines.

How many snow geese and swans did you see ?

Snow is pretty much gone, seen lots of dark geese and a few snows flying mostly west of Jamestown.

A bald eagle was in the tree again this morning...

There is a pretty cool place not far from me that is well known in the raptor world for migration flights - Derby Hill. A buddy of mine for years was the steward there and I learned a lot about birds of prey in flight. Saw my first golden eagle there.
