Lancedamask OP trapper L Joined: Feb 2021 Posts: 14 Michigan	Caught my first raccoon in a 220 Michigan legal bucket set earlier today, got it skinned and I'm going to flesh it tomorrow and put it up to be tanned. He was 12 pounds and didn't have much if any pee on his head so that's a plus.

So far my buddy has killed 3 coon that are eating at his bird feeders. The den tree Is just about a 100 yards from those feeders. So we figure they are all from the same den. Lancedamask OP trapper L Joined: Feb 2021 Posts: 14 Michigan	The second spring did fire but i reset it before i took the picture. The fur was nice and thick, it'll make a nice hat and it was a great stew earlier. They've been denned up for awhile so I'm not sure the mating season is really started yet. I baited the trap with anise soaked beef and eggs and wired some meat to the back of the trap. It was a couple days after i set the traps because we aren't required to do 24 hour checks on lethal traps so I've been leaving them set and only checking on warm nights to avoid constantly checking empty traps. I set near a deer carcass that has a ton of sign around it. Our coon season for trapping only goes through march 31st Thanks for all the support!
