Snare it but it will rototiller your yard for you. Cage with fish for bait works also.

How big of cage trap is needed for a badger? 12x12x30 is plenty.

Have you seen the badger to be sure its not groundhog or other critter? I haven’t seen this one. I’m assuming he is foraging for food. I have caught one previously by the house before we had cats and had trail cam pictures of another coming into the yard. By the amount of dirt moved I’m guessing it was a badger.

If you think he's in the hole you could set a trap down deep and put a board over it to keep the cats out, but he may dig a hole big deep enough for your house to fall in. lol
