The Idaho legislature is in the process of dropping the state out of participating in the Powerball lottery game. The reason is that starting in August of this year, residents of Australia will be able to participate in the Powerball drawing. An Idaho legislator is concerned that the Australian government could use some of their profits from Powerball to fund anti-gun promotions. https://finance.yahoo.com/m/d396bac2-e241-3cc8-8daf-f8170c866494/idaho-ends-powerball.htmlWay to go Idaho!!

LOL Like they EVER use the money as was intended when it was passed.
Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination.

I know nothing about lotteries or power ball. But couldn't Idaho start their own state lottery to make up for the lost revenue from power ball? The Aussies might want to arm themselves when china starts moving in.

The result of this action is projected to mean $14 million less going to the public school system. So that means more school districts will be looking for levy support from their constituents to make up the difference as the legislature may not make up that difference? Looks like the "sky is falling" kind of logic .
Sky is always falling when it pertains to school funding,..teachers not doing their jobs (teaching in person,..in building),..unions admonishing them if thinking their cognoscenti,..of which is well stubbornness,..look at the big cities,....payers blink opening their official (tax statements),.....why is this happening??,..it's happening because it's possible,..local graduation of progession ( no voice} in it's thoughts,..a plane of which numbers can't quill.

I know where your coming from on this issue and yes i agree. I'm not anti union but i am most definitely against public unions. Private unions negotiate their terms from the company's profits. Public unions get negotiated without our input from our elected or non elected officials which is total bs plus most are non funded which means the tax payers are on the hook or they get bailed out like is what is happening now.
