The leftover Turkey Authorizations went on sale at 10:00 a.m. today for Zone 1. Other Zones will go on sale through the week.

Thanks Moosetrot!

I'm in for 2nd season but nice to have a back-up tag in the event weather goes bad or get tied up at work.

I got a second tag for Zone 1 Season C. I have heard they sold out by 10:20 a.m. There was over 2,000 available. There are still many thousands available for Zone 1 for season D, E, and F. I prefer hunting the late seasons and dependent upon how things go, I may go for another one...or two.

I had 2 tags for last year, the same season, and was hoping to fill them both. Called in a gang of 3 longbeards strutting and gobbling their heads off. They went behind a brushpile and I figured I would take the first one to come out. Nailed a nice one but the other two ran off behind the brushpile and no second shot. Have to admit it was one of the most exciting hunts in my 33 years of Turkey hunting.

I have a first season tag this year, but I will be sure to buy a few leftover tags for zone 3 when they go on sale. Since we have lots of tags that go unsold for the last couple of seasons, I can take my time accumulating them!

Zone 7 here. I have about as much chance of getting a second tag as I did getting a wolf permit.

Zone 2 has over 6,000 left in Season E and over 8,000 in Season F left over. Zone 1 has thousands left in seasons D,E, and F.

I tried logging in at 9:45 a.m. and was put into a wait, then opened up right at 10 a.m. Even then I was 571 in line so he may have to be quick.

I have always preferred hunting the later seasons as they aren't all henned up. After their early morning routine the gobblers are still all cranked up and it makes for some really exciting hunts. In the later seasons sometimes they come in gobbling their heads off but if in an area that has been pressured they sometimes come in quiet.

Good luck!
