Makes little difference now as the 80% are as rare as rocking horse apples

Let's go Brandon

I have a 5d tactical. It was more pricey but is idiot proof and really easy to use.

I used the original 80% jig and it worked fine.

I think the router jig would be great as routers are easy to get ahold of, you will have more control of taking material off. I ordered the drill press jig, will order the router jig sometime.

I used a daytona tactical jig, drill press, harbor freight x y vise and some $12 ebay end mill bits. It worked but I could have spent more on the end mill bits. I would get a lower kit to make sure stuff fits when you mill it out. I had to go back and mill a little bit more. Wasnt wide enough for the trigger to fit in. I milled mine before I had the stuff to make sure it fit. But I didnt catch any fish.

5D tactical works great!!

I used other jigs and 5D is leaps and bounds above. You can even do AR-10s with it if you get the adaptor plate.

Take super shallow cuts each time with the router to get a better finish.

With the 5D tool kit the end mill screws on to the colic instead of being squeezed in there.

A fellow Tman recommended this place when I was looking for 80% lowers.
They are back in stock.
