For the record, I've never defended Biden here, never told anyone to vote for him, or said I planned to vote for him myself. (My actual vote is my own business.)

But I was wrong in thinking that his pre-election talk about gun control was just rhetoric. I thought he would realize he had bigger fish to fry and would not want to expend limited political capital on guns. My prediction was wrong. In fact, Biden is now seriously pushing gun control. He deserves the resistance of all gun owners.

If I pooh-poohed someone's doomsaying about Biden's anti-Second Amendment policies, I have to say this: you were right.

Now, before someone posts to accuse me of posting "click-bait," or urges others to skip the thread, why don't you just skip it yourself? Everyone who starts a thread wants to get replies. In this, I am as guilty as anyone else. I'm not trying to make anyone mad, but I would like to incite some thoughtful, civil replies.

I thought you just couldn't take Trumps arrogance and childish way of speaking about opponents. I don't know how anyone could hear Biden speak and think he wasn't serious about disarming the public.

JMO but I think we need all of us pulling together to fight against these attacks on the 2A. As to how we get it done when the DEMS have no interest in listening to opposing views and a Media with the same agenda. Perhaps nation wide large ( as large as we can get ) protest.

I've tried that. NJ dems wrapped 21 anti-gun laws into one giant anti gun omnibus bill a few years ago. Thousands of us attended the committee hearing on the bill. The dems had bused in the Newtown CT families and they got about 25 seats in the front of the hearing room. We filled the remaining 130 seats, overflowed into a second 150 seat hearing room where they set up a big TV to watch the main hearing room, and we had 2 or 3 thousand people standing outside the state building in the rain.

Dozens of us spoke at the hearing. The demonstration was overwhelming. We outnumbered those in favor of the bill by 100 to 1 or more.

At the end of the long day, the committee voted unanimously in favor of the bill.

They don't care what we think because they know we aren't voting for them anyway.
