My top on cat was 25. Otter 28, 20 ave on cat, 24 avg on otter, 6 on beaver green, 80 a pound for proper handle castor

Anytime, for southern fur with no comission, or cities tag fee, I thought it was fair.

Going to meet him Sunday when he comes through Tennessee. I don’t have much hopefully it will pay for the gas for the trip .

Bobcat = $30 high/$5 low (15 cats put up/8 with brown bellies/1 damaged = $17.66 avg)
Otter = $28 high/$5 low (8 otters put up/all large/1 damaged = $23.63 avg)
Coon = $5 high (2 coons put up/both 2xl/$5 avg)
Beaver = $6 high (18 beavers raw frozen/$6 avg)

The truck is not "full" because he starts here and heads north...one stop in middle Ga...then SC and NC, I believe.

I think i sold beaver green/put up/in between since 1980 for 4-6 bucks, peaked at 14.00 put up in Feb. of 2002 and never sold another one since.

grooney dont care if he buys good fur or poor fur as long as some one will give him profit for it and ones that trap now just want something to talk about i wish our great trapping organizations would take donated fur from trappers and make coats for people in the south that are freezing to death in winter storms heck trappers give it away any way if you figure their costs

What should we, as southern trappers, do to increase prices offered for our region's fur? Im sure open to any suggestions. So far, the only thing I've discovered is to charge the landowner a service fee for trapping. That keeps us southerners trapping and puts our profits at a level equal or better than any other trappers on this continent.

Us southerners could keep our lower quality fur off the market, but I dont think that will help the northen goods sell better.
