I've never covered mine. Might tarp the new bed tonight only because it's an everbearing and it's already got blooms.

I would only cover them now if they have bloom that you want to protect. The plant itself is not harmed this time of year by frosts in the 20's.

I uncovered mine 10 days ago. Mid twenties will harden the plant nicely and won't create any serious problems from my experience.
