I don't understand the question a little bit ?
The game that we harvest we cut up ourselves.
In winter, wild boars migrate to the swamps, where they feed on the roots of reeds.

Spring and fall they are in the marshes digging up the cattail tubers. At one spot they dug overnight a 10X 30 meter area and ate every tuber there. Fall storms cover the marsh and ice is sometimes 15cm thick over the cattails so food was limited access. One biologist tracked them 65 km after a morning snow fall one spring morning from wintering to summer spots, but they returned to the winter black spruce forest. He never did catch up to them or did he ever push them. With all the fences he had to go around he did travel 175 km so the 65 was when mapped out.
The province put some trackers on raised hogs and released them to mix with the wild. Took two days for them to meet and get going. The group did move great distances sometimes 50 km was nothing.

My misunderstand about the butchering.

We bring the animal to the hunting base, and there we carve the carcass ourselves.

There are herds of wild boars with 60-80 heads.

That number of animals must do a lot of damage when they get into agricultural fields.
So are there 3-4 litters a year with 8 piglets ?
So of the southern guys do it for a living chasing hogs. GPS trackers on one and find where they are going for a little night time thermal shooting.
ps the one tracker that was used was put on the doorway at the DNR office, the seconds one was shot @ close range mmmmm poor sportsmanship at it's finest

nice viewing of the clips
sure shows the dexterity of them travelling in the trees
and read what your dog is smelling
many a raccoon hunter can say the same as when they take 10 out of a building , but the dog keeps on going back ! shocked

Just to bring this back to show what Kosoi has contributed to this forum

As you can see Jurrasic he has dogs and ruffed grouse or his Hazel grouse drum in the spring so it's a sound/ dog tracking exercises.
Hope you show some of your recent hunts birds taken Kosoi

Kosoi, Do your dogs hunt by scent or sight? I see they tree but move around a bit.
