Coonman, YOU HEARD WRONG!!!!!!! Try one dozen and form your own opinion. After you try the one dozen Wild River pans you will outfit the rest of your traps with them.

I would make 7, but I am a bit biased!!! I made the best pan for the most common mink and muskrat traps out there for my needs, because no one else made one that was right. Most of the trappers on this post bought 1 to 4 dozen pans to start. Used them a season and bought one for every 1.5 trap they run.

I'll be number 7, I switched out around 30 doz. or so, just makes a better trap. Make me #8. Coonman you don't know what you don't know, try a dozen. Don't talk yourself out of it ,try them.

Put the wild river pans on your traps then heat and weaken the springs and you will have a rat catching trap.

I heard don't make lot significant difference , I think smaller pan better on coon , might help mink a little I'll comment on this old wives tale about coon needing a smaller pan due to toe catches/ foot tosses that some theorize will happen with the bigger pans. After running Mikes big pans on my 1.5s for coon I found the exact opposite. I found a higher catch rate and better catch location with coon. I had a friend testing them at the same time on his coon line and found the same as I did. I'll go out on a limb here and say whomever said Mikes pans don't make significant difference over a stock pan is going by theory and not actual testing on the line. Beave...You ever try those pans on a weakened spring waxed 1.5? They are perfect for a newer or even half worn WAXED 1.5 as they are a pretty heavy pan. I guess it would depend on how much you weaken your springs.
