Does anyone know how those small trailer hooks are tied in on these lures?

I can't remember it's been too many years. But google some fly fishing websites and see if any have that information.

Can ya buy just 1 to copy from then on?

Anywhere from 8-12. They may even go as small as 14 on some.

I have some but I can’t determine how they did it. They’re small like 14’s. I’ll search the web.

To be clear, it’s a tiny 14 tied behind a #10 or so treble with a fly. Some days they’re great and the little trailer catches them most often. They’re made in West Virginia. I just want to try to make some for my own use.

I would lay the line tied to the trailer hook on one side of the main hook and make thread wraps all the way up to the eye of the hook, then fold the line back towards the bend of the hook on the other side and make thread wraps back to the bend of the hook. If you want you could add some thread sealer to really lock it down.

I really like Joe’s Flies Short Strikers. Caught a bunch of trout with them today. They’re $2.97 at Walmart. My trebles are a #14 hook.
