He was a great guy always ready to talk about trapping to a kid, my ma took me all the way to his place up in thief river falls when I was a kid and his books were some of the first I owned he also wrote books on trapping mink, beaver and one of the best weasel trapping books as well as a book on hunting deer and bear
The deer and bear hunting one is a real find if you can find it

Great find.
One of my kinda like a hobby things is on occasion I will browse thrift stores. ( I'm half browser on my father's side...lol )
Mostly hit or miss. With a LOT of miss. Takes a lot of trips browsing to find something good. I just do this when I am near a store , no special trips. Kinda like exercise (walking) but with a purpose. Again , lots of miss. But when you hit , you hit good. Found many a deal like the OP. Sometimes I find things that friends could use like a seen a nice Carhartt winter coat for my neighbor. Took him over to the store , he tried it on , fit perfect , brand new with the tags still on it , $15.
I hit thrift stores when I am nearby and have the time. Sorta like a hobby thing , a treasure hunt that is also exercise.
