Do all these fancy new batteries require lead in their manufacture? Where we gonna get that? CHINA ? Obummer shut down the last remaining lead producing plant in the US during his term.

The batteries are not the problem. But they will have to up the grid specs and triple power production so folks can put those things on charge . A USB plug on the back end of themis just not going to handle the amps needed. Coal or Nuclear power stations to ramp up electrickery production for all those new external combustion engines ??

So what is going to happen to crude oil ? won't that cause deep losses in $$$$ for the mega rich ? No, they gotta produce the power to charge these somehow. People are stupid, but most people learn at least a little from experience. They have tried electric cars a few times, they always fizzle out and go away because they aren't viable for the average person. So now we get idiots trying to legislate them into existence.

Electric cars will be a nightmare for your pocket $$$$ huge boondoggle !
Forget about working on your car and saving a buck or two $$$$ they will make them so technologically difficult you won't dare to go near 'em to repair anything

Forget about working on your car and saving a buck or two $$$$ they will make them so technologically difficult you won't dare to go near 'em to repair anything This is the exact mindset mechanics had when fuel injection came out. Too hard to work on, too expensive, blah blah blah. They figured it out. Technology advances, and as a.mechanic you can either keep up with training and tools or get left in the dust.

CB, you are not visualizing the snow plowing correctly...The truck plows the end of the driveway and then just plugs a lead cord into the house power...Maybe it's even retractable and spools in and out while the truck is plowing...Using the electrical power from the house (which likely is provided by the local nuclear or coal plant) will be part of the plowing contract...Come on man, think outside the box a little!!
