Read about a bill Ip13 that they are trying to pass that would make raising livestock illegal and be classified as a crime.

But it will with the liberal dopers in the cities and that is all that matters. I haven't heard about this one either --- I will have to do some checking tonight.

did a quick search this is what I found

Oregon Bill IP13 would criminalize raising food animals in the state, and reclassify animal husbandry practices as “sexual assault.” The bill specifies that animals can only be eaten after dying of natural causes (at which point, aged/diseased meat is not good). Oregon’s 12,000 beef producers raising about 1.3 million head of cattle are slated for elimination, as traditional farming and ranching is shut down in favor of lab-grown meat and indoor farms owned by the technocrats — a perfect way to force the population into perfect slavery. Christian breaks it down in this Ice Age Farmer broadcast.

it seems to me the solution is simple

a boycott of trucking , food deliver and fuel to Portland

starve out the population centers of anything containing meat or fuel or plastic or yeah just no trucking of anything to Portland let them feel their utopia they way they want it , grant their wishes

I heard about that one -- it is similar to colorados stupid one. not happening this year to my understanding. I believe it also has the same author as colorados one. As for the ballot initiatives -- sometimes it is the only way to get through to a one sided political system - it is the only chance some us rural people have of limiting the stupidity of our legislators, but yes it allows the crazies to have a say also.

I admit I didn't do any checking, but assumed it was fake because all of our house bills being considered in the current legislative session start with HB and then 4 digits.

Ballot initiative makes sense. Most never get the signatures needed to get there.

That whole 25% thing never made sense to me... Every animal I've ever killed lived 100% of its life right up to the point where I killed it. laugh

Oh, they have each animals expected life span figured out. I think a cow is 15yrs, that would make for some tough steaks.

It is not a "Bill". It is an "I.P" (Initiative Petition).
They will get a few thousand morons in Eugene and Portland to sign it, but that's about it.
