How in tarnation can they ever pass such a thing ? Oregon has many ranches, horses, industry . That won't fly with so many people ... But it will with the liberal dopers in the cities and that is all that matters. I haven't heard about this one either --- I will have to do some checking tonight.

did a quick search this is what I found Oregon Bill IP13 would criminalize raising food animals in the state, and reclassify animal husbandry practices as “sexual assault.” The bill specifies that animals can only be eaten after dying of natural causes (at which point, aged/diseased meat is not good). Oregon’s 12,000 beef producers raising about 1.3 million head of cattle are slated for elimination, as traditional farming and ranching is shut down in favor of lab-grown meat and indoor farms owned by the technocrats — a perfect way to force the population into perfect slavery. Christian breaks it down in this Ice Age Farmer broadcast. https://www.iceagefarmer.com/2021/0...estock-stunning-war-on-farming-ranching/

it seems to me the solution is simple
a boycott of trucking , food deliver and fuel to Portland
starve out the population centers of anything containing meat or fuel or plastic or yeah just no trucking of anything to Portland let them feel their utopia they way they want it , grant their wishes

NOT! It is a ballot initiative, It would do away with the livestock industry by making the slaughter of livestock animal cruelty, and artificial insemination and castration sexual assault. All they need is 112,000 signatures to get it on the ballot. Similar to the initiative in Colorado that would make it a crime to slaughter a animal before it has lived 25% of it's expected live span. Lesson learned: Don't let your state pass a ballot initiative law, unless you want to be ruled by the idiots. P.S. It's bad enough as it is. OOPS, Pete types faster than me.

I admit I didn't do any checking, but assumed it was fake because all of our house bills being considered in the current legislative session start with HB and then 4 digits.
Ballot initiative makes sense. Most never get the signatures needed to get there.

It is not a "Bill". It is an "I.P" (Initiative Petition). They will get a few thousand morons in Eugene and Portland to sign it, but that's about it.
