Hello Ryan,
That's one darn big bear and what a story to go with the pictures ! I really like the wolverine hat with the front legs and claws that you son's wearing yes I'm jealous ha ha !
It makes me smile every time I see or read that your kids are with you while hunting or trapping they are getting memories of great times with you that many other kids don't get with their family members.
Before I forget again darn nice wolf too ! Keep up the good work ! Allan

Did you green score the skull? How about the hide, what did it square. Really dark hide. Cool you finally got him. skull was measured for the kill report we do with bears. Its 25" and change. Hide is 8'2" long and i didnt get the width for a true squared measurement.

Hi guys. It’s been a great spring so far. Geese are still flying but it’s time to switch up. Muskrat and duck hunting for the next while. One of my buddies want to go hunt geese so I’ll probably go get a couple more but mainly it’s 22 and boat for now. Going to check out a small chain lake in about half an hour.

Rat hunting at ice out, sounds like the thing to do. I wish we had a spring season.

We had all the conditions required to flood this year. Cold winter with no snow means the ice is thick and there has been minimal ice melt with the usual help of snow melt to speed the thaw. There’s a few major ice jams in the delta that’s causing water to back up even enough to reverse the flow of a couple fair size rivers and make ice flow in what would normally be an upstream direction. My geese camp is in the middle of it all as the ice is jammed for 15 km below and 25 km above the place. Doesn’t look too good and a few cabins in the delta have already been moved by the ice and water. Flying out to take a good look in an hour and a half. More pictures later.

My house My dads My boat was parked back in the willows. Ice came close but we’re not out of the woods yet.
