a couple of years ago there was a post on how to get more peppers from your plants. you had to pinch the end where they started branching off or something like that. anyone remember how to do it?

It's called topping. Lots of YouTube videos on it. Basically, your new pepper plant will have one main stem. Just pinch off the top set of leaves....but pinch the stem off, not just the leaves. Pinch off right.beloe where the top set of leaves are. Two new stems will grow out from the next set of leaves down, so now you'll have two main stems instead of one. After those stems get a few sets of leaves, you can then pinch those stems, and get two more stems from each of those. And so on and so on, as much as you want. Eventually you'll have to quit topping so that the plant can get big and grow peppers. Some plants react well to topping...peppers and catnip do for sure. It's a common practice when growing weed too, that's where I learned about it. Some plants don't so well.... I tried it once with tomato plants, and they never got big, they seemed to just stop growing where they were pinched off.

Prune your plant. Top them. Pick all the peppers at the end of June no matter how many or how small. It will generate even more.
