Our military is under assault by our leaders.

The US Military has worked well because the people who make up the military have been able to come together and work as one, to protect the interests of the United States. Our military as a whole is stronger than it's parts. Now there is a big social push to make all the members important as individuals, which can only lead to a weaker, non-cohesive military, that won't function as well.

That said, most US military members are still straight white males from middle class families, not the LGBT&Qs and minorities all the focus is given too.

Didn't watch it ,will probably make me happier I got out. Idk in my brigade no one cared if you where gay or all this other crap you where either solid or you weren't. Had tons of openly gay people no one cared . We had boundaries of course, you don't make certain jokes around certain people out of pure respect. Simple stuff like "you know Carl is gay don't call him a (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) you don't and get whooped your fault we won't stop it you'll have to face your consequences" or " you know bill isn't cool with gay folk keep it professional and don't say something that could set him off". Then you had folk who just didn't care.
I learned what I was taught in basic as far as this thought process has been done away in alot of BCT's.
Heck if I told some of the jokes and little dialogue we did while baking in the sun I'd probably get lynched by the woke crowd and it's was white black gay straight making some of the most messed up humor ever..... It's the military no one cares your equally worthless as the next guy or gal

Wolfdog, we had one that crossed the line and outed himself. Let's just say there were no marks on him when he voluntarily asked for a discharge. But those were different times.

homosexuality was a crime under the UCMJ in my day. Homosexuals had to hide it. They still served. One guy I knew got a bad discharge for being arrested off base by vice. I never had a clue he was gay.

I worry about women in combat roles more than homosexuals. Women, like 14-15 year olds in combat, should only happen when the alternative is surrender.

The homo thing was just beginning when I was in. I knew of a couple of guys, but they didn’t talk about it and could hold their own, you didn’t mind serving beside them. Then there was this one guy who decided the easiest way out was by “coming out” so to speak. He somehow broke his neck between the 3rd and 1st floor. They found him the next morning in a bed condom hanging on the CO’s door. He eventually got his wish and was discharged.
