I use regular gas, 91 octane and no ethanol, in all my old Coleman lanterns and stoves. I’ve even used mixed 50:1 boat gas in a pinch while camping. If I’m going to be storing them I like to run the last tank with startron enzyme treatment.

Did you change out any parts on the stoves?

No, didn’t change anything Snow. Back in the early 80s an ol boy told me “as long as you use unleaded gas they will work fine. You won’t get a 1/4 tank of leaded to burn”. I’ve been using unleaded ever since.

Back in the REAL old days ( 1970's) we used to run 80/87 avgas in the lanterns in a pinch. Had to pull the generator apart every couple days and scrape the gunk off but it worked .............for a while

I can’t find one anywhere. I used to have a bunch of the (quote) old Coleman stuff until my house burned down and ruined everything. I would love to find me an old stove. I collect the old metal Coleman coolers and water coolers. I have several different colors of them and I have a few Coleman lanterns. The stoves however have eluded me at all the yard and garage sales I go to. Coleman made good stuff and made it to last.

When I came home from the service, I was getting into the "Outdoorsey" stuff and caught a "Blue Light" special at K-Mart, $9.99 each your choice of a stove, lantern and Cat Heater. Bought 1 of each, Love the stove, can't recall how many meals I've cooked on it, the lantern is in the basement, Too noisy/bright, and used the heater once, to keep an engine block from freezing one night! LOL
