And the surface of the sun is 10 million degrees, shining on the earth's surface. Why is the earth warming?

I don't typically read from the old English translator's text, but I do appreciate how they translated what the Creator of creation said. And He knows. He made it all;

"The wind blowers where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth; so it is every one that is born of the Spirit." (John 3:8).

You have to be regenerated or you can't even sense any of it.
Glad there's a Good Book revealing that for us.

Blessings,
Mark

I like the mountains.
One can find shark teeth laying about the ground east of Russell Kansas. Global change.
What is the make-up of the coal in northeast Wyoming? Must've been heavy vegetation there before the mountains were formed. ?
I saw rocks yesterday that had crustacean shells molten into the rocks. Global change.
Ever seen Fremont Canyon in Wyoming below Pathfinder Reservoir? More global change.
Now global change is frightening.

I've always thought the Rockies were formed by tectonic plate activity and that they are still growing.

But Mark June; you forget that before WW1 the Kiaser's scientists invented a process to fix nitrogen for fertilizer. Also explosive and poison gas. But synthetic fertilizer is responsible for increasing the carrying capasaity of humans by 2 billion people. Before that soil was fertilized by manure. Which had a limited supply. So synthetic fertilizer is responsible for over populations. Which is a much bigger problem than climate change. So humans have already surpast the limits of creation.

Sigh.

To travel safely in the north country requires prolonged periods of cold.

Being from the south it's hard for you to fathom how little ice can be made what is that cold for a day or two and how quickly ice can he road even when it's below zero

Hence COVID ! I posted back in March of last year it was the human distemper. You know the thing that kills coons when the population gets too high........

Plus the reason cancer cures will never be rampant . No where to put people....

People who live it know that it is warmer now than 40-50 years ago.
it is noticeable in the North because of how we travel and live out on the land over a lifespan and learning how to navigate the land from several generations that have gone before us.
People living all the time in farmland civilization dont know and remain in the dark because they are far removed from wilderness.
The only time most of these people go to the wilderness is for a week fishing or hunting in Northern Canada.

I'm looking out the window right now and it's snowing and blowing so hard I can only see about 50 yards. This happens in February, and has for every February that I can remember. Just an observation from living in the dark in civilized farmland far removed from the wilderness.

ust one week ago Biden and John Kerry scream we only have 9 more years to live because of global warming . This week the coldest air mass in decades is headed towards the US. Just after the biggest snow storm up north in years (according to the weather channel...

Hmmmm...must be on a different path than for us. We baked last week with no rain and looks like baking this week, with maybe 30% chance of rain on Thursday. Two weeks above 90 and no rain isn't good for the young corn and soybeans. I hope your "cold" air and precip show up here. If it doesn't rain for most of June, crops will be toast...

Evidence suggests that the woolly mammoths and dinosaurs had way more sense than us, as they did not build big cities close to the ocean shores grin

Do I think it’s hotter than 40-50 years ago? To me, Yes!! But back then we didn’t have AC growing up, so even though it was hot we baked in it all day. Now we have AC and you step outside from being in it and it’s dang hot now.
We reached some high temps last week and almost broke the records for a few days from 1960…wonder what they were blaming it on back then.
Does is get as cold now as it did 40-50 years ago? To me, NO! But back then I didn’t have the quality of clothing we have now. I remember wearing long johns, two pairs of blue jeans and whatever else I could fit over that and still getting so cold deer hunting I’d shiver so bad I couldn’t climb down from the stand. I have clothes now I can wear a base layer and put fleece over it and sit in 30 degree weather with the wind blowing 25mph and feel it on my fingers if I take my hands out of my gloves.

Well its getting colder here. I went to get my last shot the other day and she took my temp and shook her head and turned the thing off then turned it back on and said let me take that again. I said whats wrong am I running cold? She said yes 94.5 degrees. I told her, oh that ain't bad. She said hypothermia starts at 95. Sure did feel good when I got out on the hot blacktop. We need more of it !
