Was listening to the radio the other morning to a Talk Radio station. They were having people call in about uses for Mr Clean Magic Eraser. One I found interesting was: Cut off a piece of Magic Eraser and drop it into the toilet. It will dissolve according to one caller. After it dissolves, flush the toilet and any rings or crude will be gone. Another said it was great for taking off dried on rust from your boat. There were quite a few other uses, but I could relate to these. Thought they were the most interesting.

Here is a first hand experience ... Before I opened my pool memorial day weekend I needed to raise ThE water level a few feet, so I threw in the garden hose .... Little did I know the village flushed the hydrants the night.before.... Are pool was covered with rust water .... A magic eraser in the skimmer box for 2 days removed the rust ..... We changed the eraser a few times and it was covered with rust every.time ..... I was surprised but it worked great !!!!

Put An eraser in a bucket of fresh fish and they will clean themselves.

I must have done something wrong. It didn't work but after I ate the fish my toilet cleaned itself.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Magic Erasers are just melamine foam, a foam with a chemical structure that is also a very fine abrasive. Nothing magic about them.

The pool's filter removed the suspended dirt in the water. The magic eraser got dirty from having a pool full of dirty water flowing through and around it.
They won't self-clean a toilet.
I'm not using one on my windshield because I don't want a hazy windshield from the tiny abrasive in the foam.

But they do work great for what they're good at.

I have about 75 custodians who work in my department. We buy generic melamine sponges for less than half the price of Mr Clean melamine sponges.

Don’t use them on your kids seen people doing that when they first came out about takes the hides off of them.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Don't use them on vinyl boat seats to remove mold and mildew, they put little cuts in the vinyl surface and it goes bad fast after that. Ask me how I know?

Dang, wish I had seen this yesterday. I had recently heard they were great for cleaning the vinyl. I just gave my rig a quick wipe down yesterday. I guess I won't do that again.

I mainly use them for cleaning the cork handles on my fishing rods.

I've got scuff marks on my boat from those white boat bumpers while it was tied at the dock. I wonder if they would be any good at removing them?
