Canvasback2 OP trapper Joined: Jul 2016 Posts: 3,928 NY	Had a Tree trimmer come over today, to spray the fence line; to kill all the Poison Ivy. We got to talking about, of all things .. BURLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, it is easier for them to throw them into the Wood chipper, than to hang onto them. Well., the man is looking extra work. So , he offered to weed wack the hill in the backyard that I can't get down into anymore. What would take me aboutt 4 hours to do, he can get it done in an hour. $30.00 per hour is all he will charge. Now comes the good part!!! When I mentioned woodturning, he said "you are the only one left in Town that still does that kind of work ! " I said" Yes, but I am looking for fresh green chunks of wood for turning Bowls, Mugs, Wine Glasses and Christmas Ornaments . " End result, was in exchange for him doing the weed wacking that I can't do for $30.00 an Hour, I am getting FREE , YES !! FREE !! BURLS for woodturning !!!!!!!!!!!! Sound like a good deal ???
