Oklahoma	Local community buried a young man last week that tried cutting the ends out of a 8,000 gal diesel tank they pulled out of the ground to make a culvert. Good guy from a good family. He was a Colorado hunting guide in the fall and would come home and do ranch work in the spring and summer. People several miles away said the explosion shook their house. Be careful.

He would weld it as long as the owner would sit on it why he welded. Pretty good incentive to get it squeaky clean! Wife’s aunt lost her dad a few years ago when tried to cut the top off of a 55 gallon drum. Still not sure what he was thinking. Be careful Last edited by Pawnee; 06/27/21 12:47 PM. Or contain over 12% oxygen. Sorry I have a hard time rapping my mind around that. The triangle of fire is. OXYGEN, FUEL, IGNITION. By purging the tank with exhaust fumes you remove TWO of the three. The fuel, in this case propane, and the oxygen to support combustion. For those recommendations of using a grinding wheel without neutralizing the fuel/air mix. Two words come to mind , white hot.
