Do we give them.

We picked up our stove from Lowe’s last week. We have been receiving notifications to not forget to pick up the stove. Today they put the payment for it back into our account.

How long do we wait before we call them and inform them of their mistake?

I'd just call them tomorrow morning and set things straight. Don't see any reason to wait.

I’d let things ride and see how long it takes them to figure it out. You’ve got the stove.

Just don’t spend money on something else, on the outside chance they eventually want it back. smile

X2 trapdog.
Last year I ordered a gun from cabelas. After I submitted the payment I snapped the wrong caliber was selected. I called right away made the change. Went to cabelas to get said gun and they handed me both. I told them what happened and they couldn't figure out what to do with the wrong gun. I offered to take both but would feel better about taking both if they were ok with giving it to me or a good discount lol. They eventually figured it out

Ordered a $2000 wood splitter from Home Depot. Should have arrived in 2 weeks. Called after 3 weeks, and they had lost track of it in Chicago. So, send me another one please. No can do. Must give a credit on my Visa, and then I need to re-order? Before I have a chance to re-order, (a couple of days), the original splitter arrives?? Called Home Depot and said to just re-charge it on the Visa. No can do. Can't charge me for something I already have??? Merry Christmas for me, but no wonder prices are so high these days.

My brother and I went to Sears to buy a new stove for my Aunt, and when we got it to her house to install, the phone was ringing. It was Sears calling to say our warranty was about to run out and did we want to purchase an extended warranty????

I would keep it as the new appliances are junk and you will be trying to get someone from there to fix it soon. We bought all new stove fridge 5 in all, every one needed fix within 6 mouths.

In my book, that would be considered stealing. I expected you to be a upstanding person.

Not stealing but kind of shady.

Well we called and made them aware. Now they have taken it out twice. We now have to call again and try and get that sorted out, in the meantime we have an extra $740 tied up.

I knew this was going to aggravate us trying to do the right thing. Lesson learned.

In about 2006, I bought a 12Kw Honda generator from a New England company that advertised free freight. The generator arrived in a few days. Kept waiting for the charge to show on my credit card. I called them to report that they never charged me. Said they had a new sales manager and new billing system. Still no charge months later. Called again. Company out of business.

Somehow I don’t think that will buy much with the electric company or mortgage folks.

I bought a new range a couple yrs back from home Depot .

They said the couldn't deliver it after a couple of attempts because of too much snow . I got tired of waiting and went and got it myself .

A couple of weeks later they called and said our new range was ready for delivery . crazy

I figured karma would show up sometime later so I reluctantly let them know I already had picked one up .

I'm sure an extra stove would have helped make up for all the BS I've delt with from those idiots but figured it wasn't right
