I think the gas stations have better fried chicken than the grocery stores do around here. They do here without a doubt. I had Wal Mart fried chicken once and it sucked.

Good stuff twice a year. Chain restaurants don't compare with some of the gas stations.
Brooks Barbeque in Oneonta, NY makes the best barbequed chicken. Vinegar based and cooked over hardwood coals.

when your in a small town or rural place there isn't necessarily enough business for you to have just one business.
common for gas , bait , boats , guns , ammo , beer and liquor even some camping gear to all be one store they sell smokes also and sometimes fireworks a regular ATF and Bait store & more.
when you go to the local bait shop there will often be a sign , go around back if you need bait. Paul runs the mechanic shop around back , in another building but will come over and get you bait or tackle on Fridays when fishing is good his wife will operate the bait shop all day they also have storage units they rent
for a while the pizza place sold bait & tackle also , now they have a coffee shop & pizza that share the building the owners are cousins or something.
We have Winner's 1 Stop in our small, nearby town. It's a Marathon gas station that has groceries, a fantastic deli, a good alcohol selection, bait, fried chicken, pizza, grilled meat, donuts, butcher selection, mulch, bagged salt and house hold items. I pay them a fair amount of money every year. Their deli and butcher selection are better than anyone else's in probably over 30 miles. Keith

There’s a gas station here that I get 2 fried chicken breasts and breaded potato wedges once a week during the summer. They usually have a line up all day long for it. It’s soooooooo good!! It’s the only thing the Indians get out of bed for.
Dip those wedges in Ranch dressing!
Cold as ice!
