Was on Otter man or something like that trapping site and he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Everyone there mentioned this site and I was number 3110 and that had to be around '99 I guess. And just like Danny Clifton " i was more than 20 years younger than i am now" what a coincidence

Started lurking in about 2000 and was 54 then.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Was on Otter Creek and then on here from the get go. Not sure what my original member number was, or what the year was. Do know I was on otter creek before I was married so at least 1998.

Since those days we have lost a lot of good people. Many through their deaths and some through their big mouths getting them in trouble. A few left because of the big mouths.
It would be wonderful to have the greats who left vertical back here to continue the greatness that we once were.

Even Ma Cat.

Those were good times, I would log on to chat for an hour or so before I left for work most nights.

the busy times were between 7 and 11 CST, but you never knew if some one would be checking it out any time of the day.

Graybeard still exists. I've been a member there since around 2001. I haven't been active for at least ten years.

I was active on a PA hunting & trapping site and someone tipped me about Tman. I joined the PA site in 2001 and Tman sometime soon after that.

I know I was here at least a couple of years before the big crash of 2006.

I was lurking once in awhile back in 99 and 2000. Tried to join mutiple times, but typical computer nonsense, always got me frustrated. We finally got better service in the mid 2000 and I kept lurking, till t got to where I figured it out, in my late fiftys, and got the membership to take in 2011. My inherent dislike for computers has kept me from a lot....just call me a dinosaur! lol

Think I found it in 2010...when I got sidelined when a surgery went bad and I had
down time until I got it lined out.

Wow! I wasn't gonna say anything, Paul. But, I Think I must have found this place within a year or two of '99?

Reading this thread, one of the first old handles to spring to mind was FTIH. I was a big fan of While E Coyote. I'm imagining my old friend, Sgt.W has, some time since, become lost to us?

Isn't Stevie D of NJ still around? (Hey, Steve; I sold a Mk 1 for a cool £1,000! Still got another! grin)

Got on really well with a Guide from NY State. Typically, to me, NY conjured only images of sky scrapers! laugh

Good grief. We're all getting so Old now, Paul! LMBO!

I found this place as a 13 year old trying to learn as much as I possibly could about trapping, about 2003. I have learned so much from this place. I rarely post but read daily and look at the archives any time I am wanting to learn something. Thanks to all who put this together and keep it going

I was 26 years old back then, and full of vim and vinegar.

Yep. And, I believe that I am now older than you were back then.

And I can't for the most part trap any more.

I joined in 01 or 02. About 45 years old. Learned to post pics from posts by family trapper. Was living in western Alaska catching lynx, marten, wolverine, a few fox. Good times. Looked forward to the threads from Went when he returned from west Kansas catching cats and yotes. Learned about the taxidermy market in 02 from family trapper also.
