Well Wolfie, that right there is exactly what I do when I am not trapping.
That guy's engine paint color is way off for a truck engine though. It should be somewhere between dark gray and light black to be like it was when it came off the assembly line.
I have two '52 five window cabs, a '49 3 window, and a '50 3 window.

Less than ideal paint booth, but the black cherry is flowing. One more coat then 4 coats of clear.... The goal is to have to body painted and buffed before I take the camper to Spencer Monday for the NTA.

Just wet the floor down ( Iam sure you did that ). I’ve sprayed cars in my friends garages and they came out fine. AFTER your done with the last coat of clear and it’s no longer tacky ….you can shut the exhaust fan off…..BUT KEEP a small fan running on each side of the car….to prevent it from solvent popping.

Ya, I wet the floor. I have two 18" fans running in the windows and the overhead door cracked. Surprisingly it's not to humid tonight considering the piles of rain we had the last 6-8 days. I'm giving extra time between coats and spraying light to try and stay away from solvent pop. Hard for me to do because I'm a heavy wet painter. Lol.

How do you color sand and buff Ness? I'll start with 600 wet and work my way to 3000 before I buff. I'm using 3m purple bottle and tan bottle. I mix the 2 together for buffing. Then finish with 3m machine glaze

You can spray heavy and wet….just keep that air circulating all night long. I’ve tried every compound known to man. I’ve been doing paint and bodywork every day of every year for the last 45 years. Was weined on lacquer paint. But a 600 cut will get you flat as lacquer and super clarity. 600…1000…2000,3000. That 3M stuff is garbage….it contains a bunch of fillers. Which means it looks good when you done buffing…but wash it a couple times and all that filler goes away….and your sand scratches are back. I got turned onto this 3D product ,2 years ago. And nothing holds a candle to it. It contains NO Fillers…and just 4 drops on the 3D wool pad will do a 2x3 section…I go over the area 3 times…more product is not better…just the 4 drops is all you need. And it has a built in lubrication….you cannot buff it to a shine…because there are no fillers in it. And it doesn’t heat up the panel ,like other compounds. Aftah your first pass….wipe clean with a micro fiber towel…then do a 2 Nd pass and repeat…until all scratches are gone. Then they have a 6 inch foam pad I use on my “Finsh” DA sander…and I apply their polish with my DA…couple passes….then another 6 inch foam on the DA for the final product. No swirls marks EVAH ! I'll hafta look into it. Can honestly say I've never heard of it. I haven't been at it as long as you. I missed the laquer stage and start with Enamals and Deltron. Only been at it 32 years if you don't count my highschool car I did in shop class. Lol
We don't get many new products here in middle of nowhere Iowa.

Backwater is a very good lure maker. Nice car, and I hope you will show pics of the final product.

There are plenty of you tube videos about the stuff. Looking Good ….how long did you let the clear cure…before buffing ? I let them set a week….but my collision stuff gets at least 24 hours.
