As many accidents resulting from raised beds. you'd think there'd be some sort of interlock or warning buzzer.

Generally in dump trucks there is a red light that is lit when the bed is raised even an inch. But looking at the length I'm saying tractor trailer so no light or buzzer. Hazing said that, coming from a truck driver thats pulled dump trailers and driven dump trucks, I have no clue how one could go down the road with their bed in the air and not realize it.

The "happy ending" for them didn't end up being so happy...?

Those with experience. Can the I beams be reset and moved? Or do they have to redo the whole over pass?
Bryce Good question. I'd like to know the answer too.

I drove a bucket truck a few miles down the main street in town. The upper boom was down and the bucket was in the stowed position in it's cradle. But the 6' long lower boom was up and I didn't realize it. I got to the shop and one of the other guys ran out waving his arms to stop me. I would have taken out the garage door. I'm not sure how I made it through town without taking down a single wire.
A couple of years later, another guy in the shop came in the door the same way - bucket stowed but lower boom straight up. He tore out the header over the garage door, $10K in concrete block, and the garage door fell on the top of the truck.
That truck now has a limit switch on the lower boom and a buzzer.
