The game drew 8.2 million viewers making it the second worst of all time.
Based on the poor ratings even with a strong showing of young talent on the field, it would appear that getting involved in politics was a bad decision for the sport.
Yet, the main stream media tried to frame it as a victory or ratings boost.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

We'll see how viable all the 'woke" major sports are after a while. I suspect that athlete salaries, at least for doing the sport, have maxed out and will drop after revenue streams start to decline. I wonder how long before the NBA has to get bailed out by the Chinese to keep them afloat...?

im about as big a baseball fan there is....I know stats and numbers of about every player in the game today...even down to guessing about 90 percent accuracy of what pitch is gonna be thrown................and I boycotted the all star game this year. leave baseball out of politics!!!!!!!

Does the old way of ratings matter today like before? Now there are 100s of channels to watch yet they all have advertisements on them. As a kid a commercial pee break took timing to no miss parts of the show now you could make a pizza with time to spare during commercials.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I stopped watching most sports this year including the Olympics.

Does the old way of ratings matter today like before? Not sure how it worked before but today advertisers pay x amount to be exposed to an audience between x & xx. When that exposure falls short then a portion will be refunded. They do lose money, the question is will it be enough? I could be wrong.
